Intro to Portraiture
This class is an excellent foundation for those interested in pursuing portraiture. We will focus on learning the fundamentals that achieve likeness in portraiture: proportion, structural relationships and the way in which light reveals form. Students will explore these concepts in their drawings of the model, with ample one-on-one critiques to guide them throughout each stage of the process. Drawing is highly encouraged for the beginning of the course, with an option to progress to painting if desired. High school students welcome.
