Drawing & Painting with LEEANNA CHIPANA |
This course is specifically geared for those students new to painting, or those who have some painting experience but have never been presented with the basics. Leeanna will present the nuts and bolts of oil painting from the very beginning. Students will be given helpful information regarding brushes, palettes, color mixing and application, mediums, etc. Leeanna will also introduce various methods for beginning an oil painting, starting first with a single color and gradually moving toward a full-spectrum palette. Lessons will be taught in a clear and straightforward manner, and the instructor will work one-on-one with every student to ensure that each one can learn at his or her own pace. Fundamentals of Drawing will be studied before painting.
Drawing Materials:
- Newsprint paper (70 to 90 lb.) 18 x 24
- Charcoal pencils - Pitt brand preferred. Soft, medium, hard. 3 of each.
- Kneaded eraser
- Paper blending stumps, small, medium and large
- 14" knitting needle or skewer (used to help see angles)
- Masonite board and Bulldog clips
- Sandpaper block - to sharpen charcoal pencils. Large nail file can be used as substitute.
- Drawing paper - Strathmore, Series 400, 18 x 24
- Graphite pencils - HB, 2B, F
- Artist's Tape
