Portfolio Development for high school students

Portfolio Development Workshop
Building skills to prepare your high school student for their first year in college.

The LIAFA Portfolio Development Program is a weekly course for High School Juniors & Seniors. This intensive class is for serious young artists aiming to create competitive portfolios for art-school and college admissions and scholarships. In the past, our students have garnered many thousands of dollars in scholarship money at some of the nation’s finest schools. Each week, students will bring their portfolios to class and will have them evaluated and receive new assignments as they work. We will help each student individually build his or her portfolio, designing a specific course of action according to the student’s portfolio needs, skill level, and time constraints. All aspects of the college-application process will be discussed, from college selection to information on documenting portfolios and presenting them to college-admissions officers.

Drawings and painting done by high-school portfolio development student Matthew Moore, who received over $50,000 in scholarship offers in 2009.
