- This course is for teen artists of all experience levels. For those new to drawing and painting, or those who have some experience but have never been presented with the basics, the instructor will introduce placement, proportion, 2D and 3D concepts, the anatomy of light, color design, and perspective. For serious young artists aiming to create competitive portfolios for art-school and college admissions and scholarships, students work one-on-one with the instructor, following a specific course of action designed to meet the student’s portfolio needs, skill level, and time constraints.
The student may work in his or her medium of choice; other media such as watercolor, gouache, oil pastels, and charcoal are welcome, and students may discuss the use of other materials with the instructor. For basic drawing and painting supplies, see lists below.
– drawing board
– artist tape
– HB, 2B, 4B, 6B pencils
– erasers (kneaded and white)
