  • This intensive class is for serious young artists aiming to create competitive portfolios for art-school and college admissions and scholarships. In the past, our students have garnered many thousands of dollars in scholarships at some of the nation’s finest schools. Students work one-on-one with the instructor, following a specific course of action designed to meet the student’s portfolio needs, skill level, and time constraints.
  • The student may work in his or her medium of choice; other media such as watercolor, guache, oil pastels, and charcoal are welcome, and students may discuss the use of other materials with the instructor.  For basic drawing and painting supplies, see lists below.

    Drawing Materials:
    – drawing board (small is fine, no bigger than 23×23 inches)
    – artist tape
    – set of pencils
    – kneaded eraser
    – mechanical/retractable eraser (Mono brand suggested)
    – Canson tinted paper pad, earth tones (12×16 or similar size)
