Excellent course for improving your portfolio!
Whether your teen is a novice or is ready to apply for college, solid drawing skills are the foundation to any visual art goals. Additionally, learning how to paint in oil gives your college-bound artist’s portfolio an edge, or provides a meaningful and delightful life-long hobby for the student taking the course for his or her enjoyment.
This class is for young artists ages 13-18, both beginner and advanced, looking to improve their drawing skills and learn the medium of oil paint. Students will begin by working from still life objects and plaster casts. As their skills develop, they may work from original photographs, choose projects for Middle School and High School portfolio work, or move onto working from the live portrait model. Projects in this course will be well suited for portfolios needed for admissions.
