OPEN HOUSE A SUCCESS
LIAFA kicked off the new year by hosting its first Open House on January 3rd of 2009 at both the Riverhead and Glen Cove locations. Program Director James Albinson was on-site offering free portfolio reviews to high school students while staff accommodated walk-ins. The event, which was open to the public, attracted many local artists who were anxious to learn about LIAFA's new course offerings. "I was delighted by the turnout," said Director Robert Armetta.

ONE-DAY 6-HOUR PORTRAIT DEMO WITH STEVEN ASSAEL.
 
Steven Assael, one of the nations leading portrait artists provided a demo where he created a double portrait. The demo was so popular LIAFA is now offering a three day workshop with Steven Assael. Dates are TBA. Please join our email list to hear more about workshops and events.
